TWO people have been charged after police carried out a drugs warrant at a property this morning.

Kasim Ahmed, aged 24, of Wolstenholme Avenue, Bury, and Amanda Baker, aged 34, of Crompton Gardens, Bolton, have both been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

It follows a police raid at a house in Crompton Gardens, Hall i' th' Wood, Bolton, at about 6.30am today.

Officers from Bury's Op Challenger team and Bolton North discovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be crack cocaine, with a street value of between £5,000 and £6,000.

Ahmed and Baker have been remanded in police custody overnight, and are due to appear in court tomorrow morning.

GMP Bolton North tweeted at about 7pm tonight: "Two people have been charged following a drugs warrant in Hall i' th' Wood this morning.

"Just after 6.30am this morning (Thursday, February 6, 2020), your local officers, along with Bury’s Op Challenger team executed a drugs warrant at a house in Crompton Gardens, Hall i’ th' Wood.

"Following a search of the property, a 24-year-old male and 34-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, which we believe to be crack cocaine with a street value between £5000 and £6000.

"After further investigation, Amanda Baker, 34-years-old of Crompton Gardens, Bolton, and Kasim Ahmed, 24-years-old of Wolstenholme Avenue, Bury, have both been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

"Baker and Ahmed will be remanded in police custody overnight, to appear at court tomorrow morning.

"We are working closely with the housing provider to evict Amanda Baker from her property."

Police urged members of the public to pass on any information to their neighbourhood policing team to enable them to continue executing warrants and removing drugs from the streets.
