THE wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana was not the only major celebration in East Lancashire.
Coincidently another Diana also had her dream wedding day on this occasion.
Back on July 29, 1981, Diana Zanewcyz and Brian Foster married each other at the Mercury Hotel in Leyland.
David and Celia Earnshaw of Cleaver Street, Burnley, celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary on the royal wedding day with a large Cleaver Street Party.
The couple celebrated the day enjoying the day with their neighbours and their nine-month old daughter Lisa.
The royals had around 3,500 guests at their ceremony in St Paul's Cathedral.
Most of Europe's elected heads of state were among the guests, with the exceptions of the President of Greece, Constantine Karamanlis and King Juan Carlos I of Spain.
