TRIBUTES have been pouring in for a 19-year-old whose life was tragically cut short following a crash on Vista Road on Wednesday night.

The teenager, named online by friends as Adam Edwards, was the rear passenger of a black Lexus which struck several vehicles and entered the gardens of three properties near the junction of Vista Road and Queens Road, Haydock.

Adam was taken to hospital, alongside the three others who were the car, but he died from his injuries.

An online fundraising page has been set up by Adam's friends to help his family pay for his funeral.

The fundraising page says: "I can't believe I'm writing this with such a heavy heart, this boy lost his whole entire life, a life taken to short and believe me when I say this: he did not deserve this.

"He was the best lad you ever had the privilege to meet and did anything and everything for anyone.

"He has left a massive hole in not only our hearts but Haydock's.

"Any donation big or small will go a massive way so we can give him the send off he deserves.

"RIP Adam our blue eyed boy."

Expressing sympathy on Facebook, Bernadette Almond said: "Thoughts go out to the family of this young man."

Janine Baldwin added: "Heartbreaking for all concerned. The lad who passed away is one of my son's mates. He's devastated like all his family and friends will be.

"People make mistakes, they shouldn't pay with their life though."

The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man, and two other passengers – a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man – were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They are still in hospital.
