1. Condor Ferries, which links Poole with the Channel Islands, is to be sold. A deal has been agreed between the investment fund that owns Condor and a consortium that involves Brittany Ferries.

2. A new industrial estate has been planned for Poole’s Holes Bay. The applicants say it could create 260 jobs, although there are also concerns about its impact on protected sites in the area.

3. Not all retailers are contracting. Poole’s world-famous, cruelty-free cosmetics brand Lush has opened two new “concept” stores on the continent, as well as its second biggest shop in Europe.
