A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with what paramedics believe to be 'life-changing injuries' after a crash on Crompton Way.
Police were called just after 2.30pm on Friday, to reports of a crash involving a motorbike on Crompton Way, Bolton.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Police received reports just after 2.30pm today of a one-vehicle collision on Crompton Way involving a motorbike.
"The man riding the bike has been taken to hospital with what are currently believed to be life-changing injuries."
Crompton Way was closed in both directions from Tonge Moor Road down to Thicketford Road and will remain closed until further notice.
