FREE health checks will be available as part of a major town centre well-being event on Wednesday next week.
They be available outside Blackburn Town Hall where participants can enter a free prize draw.
Blackburn Central Library and the town's Care Network Hub in nearby Town Hall Street will be hosting a free health and wellbeing event fro0m 10am to 2pm.
Services represented on the day will include dental, podiatry, lymphedema, falls and acupuncture.
There will also be information available on the My GP App, children’s services, pharmacies, adult learning, young people’s services and more.
The events are part of Self Care Week which runs from Monday to Sunday.
Dr Helen McKeating said: “This promises to be a really great event that will give people advice and information on the small steps we can all take to keep healthy, happy and well. There will be a range of activities available. I’d encourage as many families as possible to come down.”
The week is being supported by Blackburn with Darwen Local Integrated Care Partnership, which is made up of GP practices, local NHS organisations, the borougb council and community and voluntary organisations.
