Motorists are being warned to expect delays after an accident on a motorway.
Lancashire Police have tweeted about the incident on the M6.
We are currently at the scene of two collisions on the M6, one southbound and one northbound, close to junctions 30 and 31 for Salmesbury. We are expecting there to be tailbacks and surrounding roads to be congested, so we would advise motorists to avoid the area where possible. pic.twitter.com/An35QhqCk4

In regards to the previous report of the 2 accidents on the M6 near to J30 and J31 the incidents have been dealt with and all lanes re-opened. There may still be a back of traffic in the local areas but this should clear quickly. Thank you for your patience.
