WORKS across Bolton will be causing disruption this week.

Temporary traffic lights will be operating from today in Arthur Lane, at Nab Lane Farm, as the Bolton Council highways team carries out exploratory excavations. The lights are expected to cause heavy traffic delays and will remain at the site until Friday.

Bolton Road will also have temporary traffic lights installed from today until Wednesday for Openreach works. The lights will only be operating at off-peak times.

Bury Road will be down one lane at off-peak times today and tomorrow for manhole repairs. The lane closure will continue further up the road tomorrow and Wednesday.

Crompton Way will have lane closures during off-peak hours from Wednesday to Friday for gully frame repairs. The council has advised that the closures will cause some traffic disruption.

There will be high disruption on Lower Bridgeman Street at Glove Mill until Wednesday. Lanes will be closed during off-peak times for Vodafone telecoms works.

Temporary off-peak traffic lights will cause heavy traffic in Thicketford Road, at the junction with Crompton Way tomorrow for Transport for Greater Manchester works.

High disruption will be caused on Wigan Road in Westhoughton with temporary traffic lights off-peak tomorrow and Tuesday for Electricity North West works.

This weekend, Tottington Road will have temporary off-peak lights for gas repairs.
