POLICE officers in Chorley renewed their appeal on national television for information after wedding gifts were stolen from a Chorley venue.

PC Craig McCabe appeared on BBC Crimewatch on Monday morning talking about the theft at Charnock Farm in Leyland on August 10 when two people entered the function room and the wedding presents which had been left for bride and groom.

PC McCabe speaking on the programme said: "We need to identify the two people on CCTV images.

"We believe they have entered the building through a side door and then taken the items and got a taxi and left in the Chorley direction.

"We don't know what has been stolen but we know that there were 100 guests who would have brought gifts and each of them would have had sentimental value to the couple.

"One of them was a male who was off tall, slim build and was wearing a dark cap with dark trousers and a dark jacket.

"The female was also dressed in dark clothing and we are keen to speak to anyone who knows them."

If you know anything about the incident then you should email 3220@lancashire.pnn.police.uk quoting log number 0158 of August 12th.
