POLICE have shut down a cannabis factory in Blackburn.
Officers executed a search warrant at a house in Whalley New Road, acting on information from the public, and found 20 cannabis, with an estimated value of up to £10,000.
Nobody was in the house when it was raided this morning and police have not made any arrests.
Police said the electricity meter had been bypassed.
PC Emma Turner, of the Blackburn with Darwen Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “As a result of community intelligence we executed a search warrant at an address in Whalley New Road, Blackburn, where we recovered 20 cannabis plants.
“It was an unoccupied house. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the person responsible.
