A DRIVER led the police's dog patrol unit on a "tour of Farnworth" after failing to stop for an officer.
The male driver of a white Volkswagen Caddy van eventually came to a halt in Cawdor Avenue following the pursuit last night.
Police arrested the man for failure to stop, dangerous driving and for drug driving.
He failed a drugs test at the roadside, testing positive for cannabis and cocaine.
GMP Traffic tweeted about the arrest at 10.45pm last night: "The driver of this VW Caddy led the dog patrol on a tour of Farnworth when he failed to stop for the officer.
"Eventually stopped in Cawdor Avenue. He was arrested for FTS Dangerous drive and drug driving having tested positive for cannabis and cocaine #fatal5."
