POLICE seized a counterfeit cigarettes from retail outlets in Chorley.
Officers swooped on a number of shops yesterday.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “This was a result of Operation Tarka a joint partnership operation between Chorley Neighbourhood Team, Trading Standard and Immigration (officers).
“This tobacco was brought into the country by unknown means with no tax added and no quality control of the contents.”
