POLICE have identified three boys who they believe put concrete slabs on railway tracks in Croston.

It comes after an incident at 5.20pm on August 14 on an area of tracks near Ridley Lane in Croston.

It is the sixth time concrete debris has been placed on the tracks in the area.

An appeal was posted by British Transport Police on social media on Friday showing three boys on the tracks saying that placing items on the tracks was 'extremely hazardous' and a train struck the slabs on August 14 and added it was 'fortunately without incident'.

However, now a BTP spokesman said: "They have been identified and all will be interviewed in due course."
