A 90-year-old pedestrian was rushed to hospital after a crash in Leyland between a car and a motorcycle.

Police cordoned off Hough Lane after the crash, which happened at around 11am.

The man is believed to have suffered hip injuries was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision on Hough Lane in Leyland.

"There was a collision between a motor vehicle and motorcycle and unfortunately a 90 year old pedestrian has been struck.

"The casualty currently at Royal Preston Hospital undergoing treatment."
