AN investigation is underway as police found a cannabis farm after a police raid on a Leyland business park.

Police descended on the business premises in Talbot Road, Chandler Business Park, off Golden Hill Lane in Leyland at 7.25pm on Wednesday night.

It is believed that officers found hundreds of plants at the site.

South Ribble Police posted a photograph of officers at the scene this afternoon.


Their post read: "South Ribble and Chorley officers are out in force at the scene of a cannabis farm in Leyland.

"Police were called to scene late last night and have seized a substantial amount of cannabis plants."

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We were called around 7.25pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 28) to reports a cannabis farm had been found at an address in Talbot Road, Leyland.

"Officers attended and a significant number of cannabis plants were found at the scene.

"An investigation is underway and enquiries on-going."
