A NEW café could be opening in Bury town centre at a unit which has laid empty for about two years.
Roshana Zafardeen hopes to launch her business Rozzy's Fusion Cafe at 153 The Rock.
The site was previously occupied by 153 Degrees Restaurant & Bar.
It is now under renovation before an official opening takes place.
The owner proposes four full-time and one part-time member of staff will be working at the café.
Roshana has submitted an application to Bury Council for a change of use to category A3 — restaurant.
She wrote: "The property has previously been occupied by a restaurant, and so has presumed A3 planning. Bury Council cannot find any such details of previous use hence re-applying for A3."
