STEVE Price has categorically ruled Blake Austin out of contention for tomorrow's Challenge Cup Final.
The stand-off has been battling to recover from an ankle ligament injury in time to face St Helens at Wembley Stadium.
However, after leaving him out of his 19-man squad yesterday, Price reaffirmed he will be without the 28-year-old.
While declining to name his full team, Price did mention the likes of Stefan Ratchford, Ben Currie, Harvey Livett and Jack Hughes as stand-off options.
"He definitely won't be playing. Blake is out," he said.
"We gave him every chance but it was unfortunate. He wasn't right on Tuesday.
"It is what it is now. The team we're going to put out tomorrow afternoon is one I'm comfortable with.
"I'm really excited for the players who will be coming in. Our confidence in the players coming in has never wavered.
"I've got a number of options there - people like Ratchford, Livett, Currie, Hughes.
"We've planned with different options this week.
"It could be a combination of players - we'll have to see how the game goes. We have a plan A and a plan B."
