FLOOD warnings have been issued in East Lancashire this evening as a result of persistent rainfall.
The Environment Agency has issued a warning for Burnley town centre with the River Calder potentially flowing over in low lying areas at St James Street and Calder Street. That warning is in place for between 9pm tonight and 3am tomorrow.
There is also a warning for Whitworth about the River Spodden, with properties in the Station Road, Millfold, John Street, the football ground, Daniel Street and surrounding areas affected.
There are also flood warnings in Todmorden and neighbouring Walsden and Littleborough.
