FIRE crews and the police were called to a multi-car accident in Burnley last night. 

Reports of the collision were received shortly after 6.30pm when two crews were sent to the scene. 

By the time firefighters arrived at Brunshaw Road, all drivers and passengers had made it out of their vehicles with minor or no injuries. 

A spokesman for the service said: "Crews from Burnley were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision on Brunshaw Road, Burnley which involved several vehicles.

"All occupants were free of the vehicles when firefighters arrived at the scene and so they set about making the scene safe. They used an environmental pack and were in attendance approximately 20 minutes."
