A COMPANY has been praised after getting behind a campaign to help a brave toddler with brain damage and cerebral palsy receive life-changing treatment.

Twin boy Luca Johnson, from Leigh, has also contracted meningitis four times in his short life, leaving him with lifelong after-effects.

His family set up a campaign earlier this year to raise money to get for treatment for Luca, selective dorsal rhizotomy, to reduce the stiffness in his legs.

This is not available on the NHS.

Leigh-based firm ETA Skip Hire approached the family recently to suggest an idea of advertising Luca's crowdfunding page appeal on the side of one of its skips.

All money from the hire of this skip will go towards the crowdfunding appeal.

Luca's mum Jodie, 31, said: "This just proves how amazing our community is.

"It is something so selfless taking all their spare time to get this printed and make their idea come a reality.

"We can’t wait for Luca to realise how far people have gone to help him in his journey with an operation that can be life-changing and hopefully get him to walk into his first day of school."

People can contact ETA Skip Hire on 01942 502010 to support the campaign.

A target of £30,000 has been set to pay for Luca's surgery and the physiotherapy
