A PROLIFIC shoplifter who was banned from entering Blackburn's Mall under a Criminal Behaviour Order was caught on CCTV breaching the order on three separate occasions.
Blackburn magistrates heard the breaches put Paul Hargreaves in breach of a suspended sentence order imposed for shoplifting.
Hargreaves, 34, of High Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to breaching the order by entering Wilko on King William Street. The suspended sentence of eight weeks was imposed and he was sentenced to eight weeks in prison for the breaches to run concurrently.
Ian Huggan, defending, said the Crimbo had been in place for 16 months and this was the first breach.
"There is no suggestion of any wrong doing while he was in the store other than being in breach of the order," said Mr Huggan.
