ENGINEERS are working to try to repair problems with poor water pressure in a Chorley village.
The incident was reported at 12.58 this afternoon and it was affecting residents and businesses in Charnock Richard.
A United Utilities spokesman said: "“Some people in the village of Charnock Richard, Chorley may have noticed that their water is coming out of their tap a bit slower than usual or has gone off altogether.
"We are sorry for this temporary disruption and are investigating what is causing this supply problem.
"As soon as we know, we will take the necessary action to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
On the website they also posted: "You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether. We have one of our inspectors looking into this at the moment and as soon as we know what the cause of the problem is we’ll let you know.
"We’re sorry about this and will try and get your taps flowing normally as quickly as we can. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know what’s causing the problem."
