AN appeal has been launched after a woman was pushed to the floor and had her purse stolen in Leyland.

Police are looking for any witnesses and dashcam footageof the incident which took place on June 28 at around 10pm on Golden Hill Lane.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "A female, who was wearing light blue ripped jeans and a white vest top, carrying a small gold coloured hand bag and pulling a small navy suitcase, was pushed to the floor by 3 males.

"She received facial injuries from the fall, and the offenders were said to have unzipped the victims hand bag and stolen her purse.

"The offenders were described as white males aged 20-30 with a medium build, wearing dark hoodies, dark tracksuit pants and dark trainers.

"We are interested in speaking to eye witnesses, viewing dash cam footage, but also speaking to a male who stopped to help the victim after the attack.
