EMERGENCY services were called to a crash involving four cars in Golborne this morning, Wednesday.
One man in his 40s suffered "serious injuries" and was taken to hospital by an air ambulance.
Two other people have also been taken to hospital by road.
The collision took place on High Street at the junction of Heath Street at around 7.50am.
The cars involved were a BMW, a Renault Clio, a Vauxhall Zafira and a Volvo.
Police and fire and rescue officers have also been there.
Fire and rescue officers freed one casualty from a vehicle.
