A REAL-life cyber-attack was demonstrated for Lancashire firms to highlight the online threat to their integrity.
Burnley-based Holker IT was behind the stark warning, as part of a countywide web seminar arranged by Lancashire Police at Ribby Village Hall.
More than 200 delegates were involved with the gathering, which was opened by Clive Grunshaw, Lancashire's police and crime commissioner.
Matthew Metcalfe, Holker's managing director, said: " We showcased a real-life cyber attack, highlighting some of the problems businesses can face if they fail to take out the necessary level of protection.
"It was good to hear such positive feedback, both from business leaders and the event organisers ."
