A BOROUGH is set to freeze its part of the council tax for the eighth time since 2010.
Ribble Valley's Policy and Finance Committee, last week recommended pegging the charge paid by residents for its services to the current level for 2019/2020.
The freeze is set to be confirmed by the Conservative-controlled borough's Full Council budget meeting on March 5.
When confirmed, a Band D property in Ribble Valley will pay £150.69.
The committee also recommended the borough continue its policy of not be charging for green waste collections.
Cllr Stephen Atkinson , leader of the council, said: "In real terms the Ribble Valley’s element of the council tax has effectively reduced by 20 per cent since April 2010. This has been achieved by many years of careful and prudent financial planning. Ribble Valley has a bright future."
