The air ambulance at the park
A BOY has been taken to hospital after getting injured on a playground.
A helicopter from the North West Air Ambulance landed on vacant land near The Hub in Buckshaw Village on Main Street this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses say the boy had 'fallen off the monkey bars on the park at Guernsey Avenue'.
It is believed he was taken to hospital on a spinal board.
