SPEED camera vans will be operating across East Lancashire this weekend, in a clampdown on dangerous driving and speeding.
The Road Safety Partnership announced on Twitter that the vehicles will be focusing on the roads in areas such as Chorley, South Ribble, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Rossendale, Haslingden and the Ribble Valley.
Through computers and cameras operating inside of the van, officers are able to detect speeding, seat belt offences, mobile phone use and drivers not fully in control of their vehicles.
The road safety enforcement technicians are police staff.
A spokesman said: "The safety camera enforcement vehicles will be enforcing over the weekend mostly in Chorley, South Ribble, West Lancs, Burnley, Nelson, Colne, Rossendale, Haslingden and the Ribble Valley. #keepingyousafe #towardszerolancs."
