An emblem on a toilet tissue is simply an aloe vera leaf and not the word 'Allah' in Arabic.

WhatsApp users have been sharing a video of a man who opened a packet of toilet tissue claiming to have seen the word ‘Allah’ in Arabic written on a roll.

In the video the man says he was creating awareness of the Marks and Spencer Aloe Vera 3 ply toilet tissue and wanted people to boycott it.

Marks and Spencer have today responded and told us the pattern was simply that of an aloe vera leaf.

A Marks and Spencer spokesperson said, “The motif on the aloe vera toilet tissue, which we have been selling for over five years, is categorically of an aloe vera leaf and we have investigated and confirmed this with our suppliers.”

The four-pack toilet roll is on sale for £2.50 on the Marks and Spencer website.
