A WOMAN had to be cut out of a car after a crash tonight.

The incident took place near Central Avenue and Main Street in Buckshaw Village at 4.44pm.

Two police cars blocked stopped cars driving away from the village towards Chorley after the incident at the roundabout.

A Lancashire Fire Service spokesman said: “Chorley, Bamber Bridge and Leyland engines and crews were assigned.

“Two cars had collided and a woman remained trapped in one of them.

”Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut away parts of the car to rescue the casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.”
