We have taken a step back in time to get photographs from our archives of dance groups in the area.
PICTURES: Remembering when Waves ruled in Blackburn
They include action from Pat Eakets School of Dancing in 1989 and 1992, the East Lancs School of Dance in 1994, Susan Chippendale Group in 1988, the A to Z Dance dress rehearsal at Trinity United Reformed Church in 1992 and even some local dancers doing Swan Lake in 1991.
The other final photograph was of Noreen Banks appealing for local dancers in 1990.
