POLICE are looking for witnesses after a cyclist was injured after a crash with off-road bikes near Rivington.

The man was cycling along Hodge Brow, close to Yarrow Reservoir at around 4pm, when he was involved in a collision with an off-road bike on August 29. 

The rider of the off-road bike and another rider who was travelling with him, stopped briefly but rode off in the direction of Chorley before they were able to exchange details.

The victim suffered bruising and his bike was heavily damaged.

PC Tom Roberts of Chorley Police, said: “We’re keen to locate both off-road riders so we can establish what happened.

"This collision occurred in a popular rural area and we’re keen to hear from anyone who has any information, or who knows who the pictured riders may be.”
