Aspiring actors from across Chorley are to star in a production of a children’s literary classic in the town next week.
Youngsters from Chorley Youth Theatre are making final preparations before they perform a stage adaptation of the much-loved children's book Charlotte's Web on Friday and Saturday, January 18 and 19.
Set on a farm, the play tells the tale of the unlikely friendship between a young pig and the spider who lives in his barn.
Charlotte spins a magical web that unites all the animals and helps everyone achieve their dreams.
Charlotte's Web is adapted from a novel by American author E. B. White which was illustrated by Garth Williams and was first published in 1952.
Directed by Patrick Balcombe, the show is performed by cast aged between 11 and 18 at Chorley Little Theatre.
Tickets are from £4 for children and £6 for adults, available from Malcolm's Musicland 01257 264362 or www.chorleytheatre.com.
