BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON THE BOLTON (WESTHOUGHTON NORTH AREA, BOLTON) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO.26) ORDER 2017
The Council have made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; operative from 21st September 2017; its effect will be to impose a speed limit of 20 mph on roads within the Westhoughton North Area, Bolton. These comprise those appropriate residential roads in the Westhoughton area, north of Market Street, that are not currently subject to a 20mph speed limit, as specified in the Order.
A copy of the Order, plans and statement of reasons may be viewed at Highways and Engineering Division, 3rd Floor, Paderborn House, Civic Centre, Bolton, during office hours.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH HORWICH NO.101 & HORWICH NO.105) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.29) ORDER 2017
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative on the 14th September 2017 which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Horwich No.101 & Horwich No.105 commencing from Chorley New Road; point A at grid reference SD 364485 410612 in a generally south west by southerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 364309 410374; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Hor101/105 over a total distance of approximately 303 metres. An alternative route is available commencing from Public Footpath Horwich 101; point A at grid reference SD 364485 410612, then Chorley New Road, Napier Drive, Aspinall Close; Horwich 106; Mansell Way; point B at grid reference SD 364309 410374 as shown by the blue line with arrowheads on the Order plan 1Hor101/105. The Order is necessary to facilitate work to construct a new pipe and manhole for the Nellies Clough water course and will continue for a period of 10 weeks, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
