PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 / WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 011 LITTLE LEVER) (PART) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2020

The above Order, made on 21 st October 2020 under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1980 and under section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting Public Footpath No. 011 Little Lever as follows:

Public Footpath No. Little Lever 011 which leads over land off Victory Road, Little Lever, Bolton, BL3 1QY commencing from point A on Victory Road at grid reference SD375438 407676 in a generally south westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD375377 407624 for a distance of approximately 81 metres then running in a generally west-north westerly direction to point C at grid reference SD375371 407626 for a distance of approximately 7 metres then running in a generally south westerly by southerly direction to point D at grid reference SD 375362 407610 for a distance of approximately 18 metres as shown by the continuous bold line between points A-B-C-D on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 106 metres and of a width of 1.5 metres throughout.

The new line will commence from point D at grid reference SD 375362 407610 leading in a generally south east by easterly direction to point E at grid reference SD 375363 407609 for a distance of approximately 1 metre then running in a generally north east by northerly direction to point F at grid reference SD375379 407634 for a distance of approximately 30 metres then running in a generally south east by easterly direction to point G at grid reference 375381 407633 for a distance of approximately 3 metres then running in a generally north easterly by northerly direction to point H at grid reference SD375385 407639 for a distance of approximately 7 metres then curving in a generally north-north westerly direction to point I at grid reference SD375381 407645 for a distance of approximately 7 metres then curving in a generally north easterly direction to point J on Victory Road at grid reference SD375424 407687 for a distance of approximately 61 metres as shown by the bold black dashes between points E-F-G-H-l-J on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 109 metres. The width between points E-F-G-H-l-J will be 2 metres throughout over an asphalt surface.

from point D at grid reference SD 375362 407610 leading in a generally south east by easterly direction to point E at grid reference SD 375363 407609 for a distance of approximately 1 metre then running in a generally north east by northerly direction to point F at grid reference SD375379 407634 for a distance of approximately 30 metres then running in a generally south east by easterly direction to point G at grid reference 375381 407633 for a distance of approximately 3 metres then running in a generally north easterly by northerly direction to point H at grid reference SD375385 407639 for a distance of approximately 7 metres then curving in a generally north-north westerly direction to point I at grid reference SD375381 407645 for a distance of approximately 7 metres then curving in a generally north easterly direction to point J on Victory Road at grid reference SD375424 407687 for a distance of approximately 61 metres as shown by the bold black dashes between points E-F-G-H-l-J on the Order Plan over a total distance of approximately 109 metres. The width between points E-F-G-H-l-J will be 2 metres throughout over an asphalt surface.

A copy of the Order and Plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at The Central Library, Bolton during office hours. Copies of the Order and Plan may be purchased.

Objections or representations should state the grounds on which they are made and either sent to

or in writing to Saskia Whalley at the address below not later than the 2nd December 2020. If no objections or representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any objections or representations which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
