DOROTHY ABBOTT

Published on 17/05/2021

Dorothy ABBOTT Kathleen would like to thank, most sincerely, everyone who supported her during the sad loss of her mother and all who helped Dorothy during the later years of her life. Close family, relatives, friends especially Ann, Lyn and Dorothy, members of St Oswald's Church Knuzden, members of the Raphael Pilgrimage and all who attended the funeral. I was very touched by the many prayers, expressions of sympathy, cards of condolence, mass offerings, telephone calls, text messages, emails, social media messages and the beautiful floral tributes and donations to Cancer Research UK in memory of Dorothy. Thank you to the medical professionals who cared for Dorothy with such kindness: doctors, nurses, carers from Choice Care and all the staff at Queens Lodge Nursing Home. Special thanks and appreciation to Rev'd Dr Anne Morris for her spiritual support over the last 20 years and for her comforting ministrations and presence during recent weeks. The celebration of 101 years of Dorothy's life was reflected in the tribute given by Rev'd Morris, in the readings and prayers from Fr Michael Coleman and in the music during the funeral service. Finally, my thanks to Jonathan and the team at Waring McKenna Funeralcare for their dignified funeral arrangements.
