JOHN WILLIAMS John sadly passed away on Sunday 28th February 2021 at the East Lancs. Hospice, after a long illness at home. He will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends. John was 88 and passed away peacefully with his Daughter Megan at his side. He was the dearly beloved Husband of Sheila, a much loved Father of Megan, a dear Father-In-Law of Laura and a devoted Grandad of Bobby. He was a dear Brother-In-Law of Clive and Maureen Knowles and Uncle to Cheryl, Christine and Emma. John was a local Blackburn Councillor for over 20 years and Mayor of Blackburn in 2001-2002. He was also a retired Headteacher of Hoddlesden School and part time Chiropodist. Due to the current circumstances, a private family service at St Georges Church, Mill Hill and private cremation, will be held on Thursday 11th March 2021. Family flowers only please, as John had said he would prefer donations made in memory of him, to East Lancs Hospice c/o The Alty Funeral Service, Broomfield House, Broomfield Lane, Witton, Blackburn BB2 1XF (01254 503240)
