CLIFFORD Francis Rees THOMAS Peacefully on Friday 3rd November 2017, at Fairfield Hospital, Bury Cliff aged 89 years. Originally from Abergavenny, formerly chauffeur at Scappa Porritt, and member of Blackburn Artists' Society. The loving husband of the late Mary . A cherished dad of Megan. Grandad to Nicola and Andrew, and grandad Cliff to great grandaughters Danielle and Ashleigh. A Service will be held at Pleasington Cemetery Chapel at 1.30pm Thursday 16th November 2017 followed by a committal. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Broomfield Place, Witton. Family flowers only, or if so desired donations may be made in memory of Cliff to Ainsworth nursing home residents fund, c/o The Alty Funeral Service. Enq. Very belatedly, thank you for your message, back in 2017, following the death of my dad, Cliff Thomas. He would have been so glad to know that you, and so presumably others too, remember him, and remember good times at Scapa. Your comments have often made me think about how many people he came into contact with, and whose lives he must have touched, in the course of his job, which he loved. Megan

Deepest sympathy to Cliff's family. I worked in Scapa Sales Department for several years in the 1970's and organised with Cliff airport pick-ups for reps and visitors. We emigrated to New Zealand in 1978, my husband to work for Scapa New Zealand, and it was Cliff who took us to the airport when we left.
