A Chorley hairdresser has backed the Citizen’s Tins and Toys Appeal by donating free haircuts to women in the local refuge over Christmas.

Will Foran, who runs the Hair4U salon in Market Walk, has given the women in Chorley women’s refuge something to look forward to in the new year.

Georgina Brierley, acting manager at the refuge, said: “Chorley Women’s Refuge would like to say a huge thank you to Hair4U for giving our ladies an opportunity to treat and pamper themselves at Christmas.”

The appeal collects gifts, toiletries and tinned goods for the victims of domestic violence and their children, who stay at women’s refuges at Christmas. The drop off point for donations is the Citizen office at 45-47 Pall Mall, Chorley. All we ask is that gifts are new and unwrapped and tins and unperishable foods are within their sell-by date.
