Great Britain's women will be in action on the first day of competition at the London 2012 Olympics after the fixture schedule was announced this morning.

Audrey Cooper's side will kick off the afternoon session at Earls Court on Saturday, July 28 against Russia.

The women's programme starts on that morning, with two-time winners Japan taking on Algeria, and China going up against Serbia.

The British men open play up on the Sunday, facing Bulgaria at 9.30am, with the men and women alternating fixtures on a day-to-day basis from there on in.
