Chorley’s Nick Dougherty says he is sad that Tiger Woods has taken an indefinite break from golf.
Woods has decided to spend time with his family following allegations about his private life but Shaw Hill professional Dougherty is disappointed that he will not be able to compete against the world number one for the foreseeable future.
Dougherty, who played with Woods at the 2007 US Open, said: “We all feel it’s sad that this has happened. As players we will miss him.
“If you are going to win a tournament you want Tiger in the field because you want to beat the best.”
