NICK Dougherty missed out on a Ryder Cup spot today after he could only finish seventh at the Johnnie Walker Championship.

Oliver Wilson clinched Europe's 10th and final automatic Ryder Cup spot Sunday by finishing 10th, behind winner Gregory Havret.

Wilson shot a 4-under 69 to leave Nick Dougherty needing a win to have a chance to make the team for the tournament at Valhalla in Kentucky from Sept. 19-21.

Dougherty (70) bogeyed three of the first six holes before recovering with six birdies for a share of seventh place.
