Youngsters who are keen to follow in the footsteps of golfers such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy or even Chorley’s very own former Ladies European Tour player Lora Fairclough can make a head start at Chilli Dip Golf Academy.

It is based at Douglas Valley Golf Club, on the Blackrod bypass and offers tuition, practice facilities and on course junior competitions throughout the whole year.

Philip Newnes, head of academy, said: “It is a great honour for our academy to be chosen to pilot the new Passport Programme for The Golf Foundation.

“Junior tuition runs seven days a week at our floodlit driving range from 4.30pm weekdays and 10am at weekends.”

“Chilli Dip Golf Academy Open Day on Sunday, August 25 is going to be a fantastic opportunity to come down and taste what we have to offer from 10am to 4pm.

“On the day, all attendees will receive a voucher book with discounted and free lessons offers.”
