Adam Farrell put the Magpies in front after eight minutes with an 20-yard strike with his second goal in as many games for Chorley.
Jordan Goodeve doubled the lead three minutes later with a curling shot.
Garforth hit back with a goal on the half hour mark but a feisty second half saw no further goals.
