CHORLEY aim to keep up their push for promotion from the Evo-Stik League Premier Division tomorrow when they welcome Stafford Rangers to Victory Park – and they will be hoping for another fan boost from boss Garry Flitcroft’s old club.

The Magpies hope many Blackburn Rovers supporters will be in attendance as Rovers have no game and several fan groups have pledged their support to Chorley, who are facing a financial crisis.

In the First Division North, Clitheroe go across the Pennines on a point hunt in their game against Wakefield.

The game will be played at Ossett Town’s Ingfield ground – now known as Stade France – as Wakey have left College Grove during a season of off-field trauma but under their fourth boss of the campaign, Paul Lines, they have had a recent upturn in fortunes.

Nelson play Formby in their much-delayed North West Counties League First Division Trophy tie with that game being switched to Formby due to floodlight issues at Victoria Park, while there are good games in the NW Counties Premier Division with Ramsbottom and Barnoldswick both hunting promotion.

Rammy entertain AFC Liverpool, while Barlick go to Winsford. Padiham host Ashton Athletic at The Arbories, while Colne welcome Bootle to the XLCR Stadium.

AFC Darwen are at Chadderton in the First Division and there is a stand-out match in the North West Counties Reserve Division Cup as Barnoldswick play host to Nelson.
