Former Chorley skipper Martin Clark has reluctantly decided to retire after a distinguished career of almost 25 years.
This follows a series of knee injuries.
Clarky, 39 last September, made more than 150 appearances after joining the club from Lancaster City in 2005.
Two seasons ago he rounded off a double hat-trick of awards, as Supporters’ Player of the Year, Players’ Player and KC Player of the Year.
It was the third time in succession that he had collected the Players’ Player and the KC accolades.
Chairman Ken Wright and manager Steve Waywell both said Clark would always be welcome at Victory Park.
