Winger Lee Shillito could end a lengthy injury absence with a return to the Chorley squad for their trip to Woodley Sports tonight.
The former Everton youngster has recovered from knee surgery which kept him out for nine months and is pressing for a recall.
New signing Seydou Bamber could also earn a place in Tony Hesketh’s squad but captain Kieran Fletcher is a week away from full fitness and winger Jordan Goodeve is an injury doubt after picking up a calf strain in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Trafford.
“That got us up and running. Things won’t hap-pen overnight but hopefully it will be onward and upward and we can build on Saturday,” said Hesketh.
Sports, managed by ex-Burnley defender Ally Pickering, are likely to include a trio of former Magpies, including striker Daniel Douglas-Pringle.
