Another useful practice match gave new faces in the Chorley side chance to stake their claims. Striker Adam Crossley impressed with two well-taken goals in the first 15 minutes.
Daisy Hill battled back and after a headed own goal by centre-half Dale Robins-Bailey, Simon Farrell equalised a few minutes from the end.
Goalkeeper Peter Collinge, back from holiday, pulled off some fine saves and midfielders Lee Shillito and Ashley Parillon, who were both sidelined with serious knee injuries last season, were in good form.
Versatile winger Roger Shorrock showed pace on the left wing.
Manager Tony Hesketh said: “The performance was more important than the result.
"The new boys did well, especially Shorrock, who is strong with either foot.
"Collinge was safe in goal and Crossley took his two goals really well.”
Chorley take on Stockport County in their final pre-season game at Victory Park tomorrow (Thursday), kick-off 7.30pm.
