CHORLEY boss Garry Flitcroft admits he is delighted with the double capture of Kieran Charnock and Sam Sheridan as the Magpies boss strengthens his squad ahead of the new National League North season.
The pair are the first new arrivals at Victory Park following Chorley's play-off final defeat last season.
And Flitcroft admitted he was delighted with the deals.
"I am very excited about these two lads coming to the club," said the Chorley chief.
"Kieran is a classy centre half and terrific leader on the pitch as well as being a local lad, and in Sam we have finally found a ball playing midfielder to replace the massive loss of Jamie Vermiglio and Tom Baker in the middle of the park.”
Former England C international Charnock spent last season at National League side Chester while Sheridan was part of the Barrow side who won the National League north title.
Meanwhile, Chorley born winger Michael Barnes has signed for Evo-Stik League Division One North side Bamber Bridge.
The former Manchester United man left AFC Fylde at the end of last season.
