CHORLEY boss Garry Flitcroft has called on his side’s fans to roar them to promotion when the Magpies host Guiseley in the Conference North play-off final on Saturday.

Flitcroft’s side came from two goals down to beat Boston United on penalties in last weekend’s semi-final second leg and he wants his side to make the most of home advantage in the final.

“Guiseley are a good side but they have got to come to our place now,” said the Chorley chief.

“We are going to put in a massive performance and hopefully it will get us to where we want to get to.

“It is all about our fans this week. I need them next week for 90 minutes singing and cheering our lads on.

“If they can get behind us and create an atmosphere then I am sure my lads will produce the goods.”

Flitcroft’s skipper Andy Teague reiterated the difference the fans can make to Chorley having seen more than 300 travel to the second leg in Boston.

“I can’t wait for next week,” said Teague. “Hopefully next week we will have a full house again and hopefully we will win that and get to the conference.”

And the Chorley captain feels the belief and desire within the Magpies ranks can help them get over the line, having overcome that two goal deficit in the final seconds last weekend.

Teague added: “The belief in this squad is unbelievable.

“Even when things are not going right we have got that work rate and desire to do something.

“We are not just a team on the pitch we are friends off the pitch.

“It comes down to one game now and we want to finish the job.”

Flitcroft was equally confident in his assessment that his side possess the character needed to secure promotion.

“The main thing if you want to go up is that you need leaders and winners and we have got them,” said Flitcroft who could well be attracting admiring glances from sides higher up the Football League pyramid.

But the Magpies boss added: “I have immensely enjoyed my time at Chorley, we have had a lot of success and I just enjoy what I do.”

Goal hero Roscoe will be suspended for Saturday’s final following his dismissal.

The final will not be all-ticket but once capacity is reached no more fans will be admitted. Supporters will be segregated and fans are advised to get to the ground early.

Normal admission prices are in operation
